What is Run For Peace?

Run For Peace is a 7-day virtual walking and running challenge where people from anywhere can participate.

The idea is simple — participants run or walk from their own location, and their distance contributes to a global relay goal of 40,075 km, which is the distance around the Earth.

Why We Created It?

We created Run For Peace to encourage people to take a step for their health and reduce stress, while also being part of something meaningful together.

It’s not a race or competition — it’s more about movement, mindfulness, and community.

How It Works?

All you need to do is:

• Register for the challenge

• Run or walk anytime during the 7-day challenge week

• Track your distance using any fitness app or smartwatch

• Share a screenshot of your activity

That distance gets added to the global relay total.

What Participants Receive?

Participants will receive:

Digital Peace Postcards for completing active days

• And participants with an address in India will receive the Run For Peace Finisher Medal.

Participants usually complete around five active run days, allowing time for rest and flexibility.

What is the minimum distance I need to run?

Participants must complete at least 3 KM to qualify as a finisher.

You can run more if you like — every kilometer contributes to the global peace relay.

Do I need to run on a specific day?

No. You can run on any day during the challenge week. You can run once or multiple times and submit your activity.

Do I need to run all 7 days?

No. You can run on one day or multiple days during the challenge period.

How do I track my run?

You can track your run using any running or fitness app or smartwatch.

Examples include apps like Strava, Nike Run Club, Garmin Connect, or any other fitness tracker.

How do I submit my run?

After completing your run, take a screenshot of your activity showing distance, date, and time, and upload it through the submission form shared with participants.

What happens after I submit?

When will I get my medal?

Every finisher with an address in India will receive the Run for Peace Medal.

Due to high international courier costs and possible delivery disruptions in some regions, we currently ship medals within India only.

What if I live outside India?

International participants are welcome to join the challenge and will receive a digital finisher certificate and recognition for their contribution to the global relay.

When will the medals be shipped?

Medals are usually shipped within 1–2 weeks after the challenge concludes.

You will receive updates once dispatch begins.

Can I run more than once?

Yes. You can run multiple times during the challenge week and contribute more kilometers to the global goal.

What is the global goal of the challenge?

Together we aim to complete 40,075 KM, which is the distance around the Earth.

Every kilometer run by participants adds to this shared total.

Why is the goal 40,075 KM?

40,075 KM is approximately the distance around the Earth.

By combining the kilometers run by participants around the world, we symbolically carry peace around the planet together.

Can I participate by walking instead of running?

Yes. You may run, jog, or walk as long as you complete the minimum distance of 3 KM.

Is this a timed race?

No. This is not a competitive race.

Run at your own pace and focus on contributing to the movement.

Is Run for Peace related to any political or religious movement?

No. Run for Peace is not associated with any political group, religious organization, or country.

This challenge is simply an initiative to encourage people to move, take care of their health, and contribute to a positive message of peace.

Is this challenge connected to any war or conflict?

No. This challenge is not connected to any war, conflict, or political position, and it does not support or oppose any side.
